GPs in Training
Dr Renee Chan FY2 (f)
The practice is an accredited training practice. As part of the GP training programme, the practice undertakes the training of GP Registrars. These doctors are fully qualified doctors who are experienced in hospital medicine, and are starting their career in general practice. They will work with the practice for a period of 6 months to a year to gain experience in the sort of medical problems encountered in general practice. They will see patients themselves to assess, diagnose and treat conditions with the support of the GPs when required. They may ask if they can carry out a video recording of the appointment, this is purely for learning and will only be reviewed by the trainee themselves and their GP supervisor.
