Test results
Your doctor or nurse will give you an indication of how long you should wait before calling us about your test results.
The main practice number should be used. You can telephone the practice to ask if your results are back, or you can call in person.
Sometimes administrative staff may be able to tell you if your results are normal. If they cannot tell you, or if you are asked to discuss the result with the doctor, it does not necessarily mean anything sinister. It may merely mean that the doctor wants to give you some advice or information that it is not appropriate for a non-clinician to give you.
