Health Visitors
With a consulting room at the surgery, the health visitors are an integral part of the team, dealing with a wide range of health problems, developmental screening of pre-school children, child health surveillance, immunisations, mothercraft and visiting new mothers. Health visitors can be seen by appointment at the surgery or contacted at 01292 886917 (Ruth Haining).
-
You can self refer to a Health Visitor to be seen at our clinic or at home.
-
For parents and young children we offer assessment of growth, development and immunisation, advice and support in any aspect of child care and family support.

Health Visitors work both as part of the Primary Health Care Team where they take part in a number of clinics and as part of a wider team to promote healthy living within the whole community. They are attached to the GP surgery and work alongside practice staff but link with many other services and groups in the area. If they are unable to help you themselves, they can usually direct you to an agency that can.
